Gamma Iota held their annual Awards Banquet to honor their members. Nominated for Pledge of the Year were Crystal Smith and Linda Cranford. The nominees for Woman of the Year were Rose Smith, Gloria Jefcoat, Billie Mapp, Linda Rogers and Barbara Foley. The projects that these members worked on were The Milne Home, Salvation Army Christmas stockings, Hope for Heroes, Family Abuse Shelter and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Many hours were spent on these projects by all the members. Carol Saget, Awards Chairman presented a rose to each nominee. The member awarded Pledge of the Year to Crystal Smith. She was presented a silver tray, a certificate and roses. Billie Mapp was awarded the honor of being Gamma Iota’s Woman of the Year. She was presented a silver tray, a certificate and roses by Saget.
