Dr. and Mrs. David Lafayette Rice III of Laurel announce the engagement of their daughter, Annalee Aultman Rice, to Collis Chad Patrick, son of Terry Don Patrick of Laurel and Elizabeth Ann Patrick of Germantown, Tenn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Harold Odom of Laurel and Mr. and Mrs. David Lafayette Rice Jr. of Tanner, Ala. She is a 2003 graduate of West Jones High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations from Mississippi State University in 2007 where she was an orientation leader and a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She received a master’s degree in public relations in 2008 from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a Southeast account manager for the commercial sales department at Howard Technology Solutions in Ellisville.
The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Carl E. Patrick of Laurel and the late Carl E. Patrick and the late Mr. and Mrs. Collis Vasco LaVigne. He is a 1998 graduate of R. H. Watkins High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in business in 2004 from Mississippi State University. He is employed as a district sales manager for Smith & Wesson Holding Company.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Jan. 10, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Laurel. Dinner and dancing will follow at the historic Laurel Train Depot.
