— Linda Merrell Jenkins of Laurel and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Lynn Jenkins of Meridian announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Lynn, to Jason Randolph Pippin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Pippin of Quitman.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jack Edward Jenkins of Shubuta and the late Jack Edward Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. James Grayson of Raleigh, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morris Merrell.
She is a 2001 high school honor graduate of Quitman High School and a 2004 graduate of Meridian Community College. She attended the Univeristy of Southern Mississippi where she was a member of Delta Gamma Fraternity. She is currently a nursing student at Meridian Community College.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stallings of Pachuta and the late Geraldine Jones. He is a 1997 graduate of Quitman High School. He is employed as a barge engineer with Rowan Companies, Inc.
The couple will exchange wedding vows at six o'clock in the evening on September 27, 2008, at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church in Meridian. A reception will follow in the ball room at Quality Inn.
