Chuck and Crystal Bridges of Laurel announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Catherine, to Jerred Delane Clark of Laurel, son of Terrell and Martha Clark of Laurel.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charles and Dorothy Bridges of Florence and the late Samuel and Emma Powell. She is a graduate of West Jones High School. She attended Jones County Junior College. She is currently an insurance agent for Insurance Services of Mississippi in Laurel.

The future groom is the grandson of Odell and Betty Hathorn of Laurel, Helen Boutwell of Laurel. He is a graduate of Laurel High School. He attended Jones County Junior College. He is currently attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La., where he is pursuing a degree in petroleum engineering.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. Sept. 27, 2008, at Highland Baptist Church in Laurel. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
