— Mark A. and Cindy L. Weare of Weatherford, Texas announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Christine Weare to Winston Thomas Shows III, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Thomas Shows Jr. of Laurel.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Trinka of Phoenix, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. L. Jack Weare of Fort Worth and Mrs. A. Belle Rich. She is the great-granddaughter of F. A. Buddy Bird. She is a 2000 graduate of Weatherford High School. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and a Masters of Professional Accountancy. She is a certified public accountant with Huselton, Morgan and Maultsby in Dallas, Texas.
The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Winston T. Shows of Laurel and the late Winston T. Shows, the late A. B. Hall and the late Doris Tant. He is a 1996 graduate of R. H. Watkins High School. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2000 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2003 and his LLM in Taxation from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in 2005. He is currently a tax attorney in Mergers and Acquisitions Practice at KPMG, LLP in Dallas, Texas.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at the historic YWCA in downtown Fort Worth, Texas.
