Atley William Hughes was born May 18, 2008, at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg to Jennifer and Bill Hughes, Jr. of Laurel. He weighed 9 pounds, 13 ounces at birth. Maternal grandparents are Pansy and Carl Jordan of Mize and Ron and Karen Brooks of Charleston, S.C. Paternal grandparents are Barbara and Bill Hughes, Sr. of Laurel. The baby has one sibling, Abby. The mother is the former Jennifer Brooks.
