— John and Paula McGilberry of Ellisville announce the engagement of their daughters, Courtney and Joanie McGilberry, to Shon Morgan Sr. and Alfred Samson of Heidelberg.
Shon Morgan Sr. is the son of Eddie and Diane Morgan of Heidelberg. Alfred Samson is the son of Jessie Dixon and Shelia Samson of Heidelberg.
The bride-elects’ grandparents are the late George and Christine McGilberry and T.A. Gordon of Soso and the late Christine Gordon. They are graduates of South Jones High School. Joanie is employed as general manager at Popeyes. Courtney is employed with Hudson Warehouse.
Shon Morgan is the grandson of Pauline Morgan and the late Ed Morgan, the late Mable and Moroe Thigpen, Annie Mae Porter of Heidelberg and the late Reese Porter Sr.
Alfred Samson is the grandson of Minnie Samson and the late Alfred Samson.
The grooms are graduates of South Jones High School. Alfred is employed with Morgan Lawn Service and Shon is employed with Georgia Pacific.
Wedding vows will be exchanged 4 p.m. May 10, 2008, at United Missionary Baptist Church.
