— David G. Smith of Laurel and Donna O. Smith of Laurel announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Denise Smith, to Samuel L. Wildman Jr. of Laurel, son of Samuel and Gail Wildman, Sr. of Houston, Texas and Brenda Wildman of Laurel.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nettie Smith of Laurel and the late Donnie C. Smith and the late Elvin and Melvina Odom of Laurel. She is an honors graduate of West Jones High School, Jones County Junior College and Southern Medical School of Ultrasound. She is currently employed with The Heart Care Center as a registered cardiac sonographer.
The future groom is the grandson of Mary Wildman of Laurel and the late Eddie Wildman and Ann Touchstone of Laurel and the late Bill Touchstone. He is a graduate of Northeast Jones High School. He also attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Louisiana State University. He is currently employed with Baker Oil Tools Fishing Division as an equipment specialist.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. April 19, 2008, at Drotningholm Beach House in Orange Beach, Ala.
