FABgrills announced today the national launch of their new patented MotorHead V8 Engine Designed barbeque grill at the Memory Road Motor Show at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas on April 19, 2008.
The MotorHead barbeque grill was a hit with both NASCAR and classic car enthusiasts that received the first public viewing of the grill.
“After five years in development and finally bringing the grill to the market, it was a real joy to see how the public responded tremendously positive to the MotorHead Grill” stated Russ Freeman, president of FABgrills and co-designer of the grill.
Chuck Whitbread, producer of the Memory Road Motor Show at the Texas Motor Speedway, was equally impressed.
“The MotorHead Grill was just the type of unique product we wanted ticket holders to have a chance to see at our first event”, Whitbread said.
“The MotorHead Grill is a great way for any classic car, hot rod or NASCAR fan to become a member of the motorsport enthusiast’s club without spending thousands of dollars and own something they can brag about”, stated Whitbread.
The launch of the MotorHead Grill was a labor of love by Freeman and his partner, Jay Thurman. Freeman and Thurman have been close friends for years in Laurel, which is the home RJI, LLC the parent company of FABgrills.
It was in the summer of 2003 when Freeman and Thurman developed the first prototype of the grill.
After almost five years of development, requesting and receiving United States patents and locating a manufacturer for the grill, the national launch took place at the Memory Road Motor Show at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas on April 19, 2008.
“I’m very grateful that Chuck Whitbread and Memory Road Motor Show provided us such a wonderful opportunity to unveil the MotorHead Grill to the public,” Freeman said.
“If the support we received at this event is any indication of the public’s acceptance of the grill then all of the hard work and waiting will continue to pay off for many years to come”, stated Freeman.
