Ashleigh Nicole Polhemus was born Feb. 6, 2008, at South Central Regional Medical Center to Dr. and Mrs. Jonathan J. Polhemus of Hattiesburg. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, at birth. Maternal grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. Dante M. Gamboa of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John W. Polhemus of Stuart, Florida. The mother is the former Zusanne Gamboa.
