Published September 15, 2008 10:09 am - Golden Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. William Spurlin Burton of Laurel recently celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary. Close friends and family joined the celebration with Gwen and Bill, hosted by their children Steve Burton, Stacy Davis, Shara Sheffield and Susan Robinson. They were married June 1, 1958, at Laurel’s First Baptist Church.
