Golden Anniversary

Harry and Margaret James of Stringer will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary celebration at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Bay Springs City Hall in Bay Springs. They were married August 30, 1958, at Lake Como Baptist Church in Bay Springs. Harry served in the Army for three years, then had a long career with Civil Service as an electronics instructor in the missile division of Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala. He also earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. Margaret graduated from Jones Junior College with a degree in Intensive Business and worked as an office manager, school secretary and church secretary. Their children, Ronald and Connie McAlpin and Kenny and Gloria James, are hosting the occasion. The couple has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Your name in their guestbook would be the best gift possible. They respectfully request no other.
