James H. “Jimmy Hayse” and Virginia Miller Powell of Soso will celebrate their golden anniversary on April 26, 2008. Jimmy served as a military policeman at Camp Leroy Johnson but is now retired. The couple have two sons and daughter-in-laws, James T. “Tim” and Rebecca “Becky” Powell of Soso, and Tyler D. and Donna Powell of Ellisville and three grandchildren. A reception held in the couple’s honor will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Soso Community Center (Legion Hut). Friends and family are invited to attend and enjoy the music of the Soso Pickers. No gifts please.
